What is the Beyond Organic Daniel Diet?
The Beyond Organic Daniel Diet (Daniel Fast) is a 10-day program based on verses in Daniel Chapter 1
“Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us pulse to eat and water to drink. Then let our appearance be examined before you…Then at the end of the ten days, their features appeared better and healthier than all the young men who ate a portion of the king’s delicacies…As for these four youths, God gave then learning and skill in all literature and wisdom and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.”
Why was the Beyond Organic Daniel Diet Created?
Jordan Rubin was inspired to develop a 10-day program that accurately represents the diet that Daniel, Hananiah, Azariah and Mishael consumed while in Babylonian captivity, in order to honor God. Jordan believes that this exact diet, which combines extremely healthy organic foods, pure water, prayer and fasting periods every day, will transform those who choose to undertake it.

The duration of the Daniel Diet is 10 Days long.
What does the Daniel Diet Program Consist of?
OPTION 1: Fresh Food and Water Bought From Your Own Source
10-Day Daniel Diet is based on the consumption of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds—
Raw foods are called “live” foods because they are consumed in their original, unheated— meaning uncooked— state, which makes them raw and alive.
Purchase fresh raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds (organic is preferable) from your local health food or grocery store and consume as outlined below.
WAKING: Half-liter of water
12:30PM: First of three meals– one type of fruit, and a source of healthy fat from avocado, raw and sprouted nuts or seeds and/or coconut. Example: organic fresh strawberries, half cup of fresh mature coconut, and raw almonds.
3:30PM: Consume a raw vegetable meal combined with a good source of healthy fats. You can choose any combination of raw vegetables. Examples: salad with greens, cucumber, green pepper, celery, onions, with guacamole on top or if you prefer fibrous veggies like broccoli and cauliflower, they can be lightly cooked, but Jordan Rubin prefers them to be raw.
6:30PM: Repeat a raw fruit and healthy fat meal.
THROUGH OUT THE ENTIRE DAY: Consume between 100 and 128 ounces of pure water each day. (A little over 3 quarts to 1 gallon)
Jordan Rubin suggests this fast/diet to include a time of prayer after waking (around 9AM), and at around 3PM.
